 abstract={This article deals with the final stage of the destruction of the cult Third Programme of the Polish Radio — popular primarily with the intelligentsia — in 2020– 2021. It was the last in a series of layoffs ordered by the PR management, appointed by Poland's ruling party. The dismissal of journalists whose professional skills and independence had built up the popularity of the station must be seen not only as arrogant disregard for the listeners' expectations but also a sign of decline of cultural standards in the mass media.},
